Emergency Capnography is for every clinician who has wanted to waterboard their monitor to make it give up its secrets. Capnography, non-invasively, provides a wealth of data regarding the patient's perfusion, metabolism, and ventilation. The challenge is interpreting these data. Emergency Capnography helps put the data into context through presentations of capnography's role in a variety of emergency conditions. With context, capnography data becomes valuable diagnostic information.
CPR Induced Consciousness and ETCO2

CPR Induced Consciousness is being described more frequently in emergency medical literature. Most of the cases described in the literature have over indications. My interest is in the more subtle cases, where the patient may be aware but not "active". My hypothesis is that we can recognize these cases through ETCO2 measurements.
